Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Emmcat Labs LLC ("emmcat," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the emmcat app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading or using emmcat, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use emmcat
You must be at least 13 years old to use emmcat. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
You can use emmcat as a guest or by signing in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your device and Apple ID secure. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app.
3. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use emmcat for your own, non-commercial study and test preparation, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's usage rules. This license does not transfer any ownership to you.
4. Educational use and disclaimer
emmcat is a study and test-preparation tool. It is provided for general educational purposes only. While we work hard to make our practice questions and explanations accurate and high quality, we do not guarantee that all content is free of errors, and we make no promise about any particular score or exam outcome.
emmcat does not provide medical, clinical, legal, or other professional advice. Content about science or health topics is for exam preparation only and should not be relied on for any real-world decision. Always consult an appropriate professional and authoritative sources where that matters.
If you spot a question that seems wrong, please use the in-app report feature so we can review it. Your feedback genuinely helps.
5. Our content and intellectual property
The practice questions, explanations, text, design, logos, the emmcat name, and all other materials in the Service are created and owned by Emmcat Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, we reserve all rights.
You agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, republish, sell, or redistribute our content;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract questions, explanations, or data;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the Service to build, train, or supply a competing product or dataset;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
emmcat may offer paid features, including auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account, and the current price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
For auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
Purchases are subject to Apple's terms, and payments, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple under those terms. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
7. Your feedback and submissions
If you send us feedback, question reports, or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them to operate and improve the Service, without any obligation to you.
8. Service availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service over time. We try to keep emmcat available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emmcat Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or the Service.
12. Not affiliated with the AAMC
MCAT is a program of, and a registered trademark of, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). emmcat is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the AAMC. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
